When the Client signed up to our design service they had already acheived a consent with a previous designer, but felt underwhelmed after the LPA had reduced their dream home to a modest chalet bungalow. We took them through our design process and challenged the LPA assessment which was in our opinion overly cautious.

We lodged a planning application in November 2020 and planning was granted in January 2021. Our proposal replaced a 100m² (1,076ft²) single story bungalow with a 282m² (3,035ft²) luxury house. The previous consent had acheived circa 200m² (2,152ft²) with most of the first floor provided as rooms in the roof accomodation.

Following grant of planning, we were then instructed to complete landscape design and full technical working drawings. Following the tender process the Client appointed a contractor and works commenced August 2021. We have been supporting the delivery team answering queries on an ad-hoc basis and are looking forward to seeing the build take shape.
