We’ve been slow to report the news of another successful planning consent for this new build replacement dwelling in County Durham. Darlington Borough Council supported the proposals and the application was determined by delegated powers in August 2019. We are currently working on the technical design with the client hoping to appoint a contractor and start on site in spring 2020. Click Here for more details.

We are really pleased with how this challenging bungalow remodel in Surrey has turned out. The client delivered the design intent with brilliant results. We think this is a great example of how to turn an old bungalow into a contemporary luxury home. We hope to have more photographs to add to the website shortly. We’ve had a good year in 2019, with over 27 Self Builder’s commencing the design process with us on new projects. Alongside these projects we steered a further 16 through the technical design phase some of which commenced on site and due for to complete in 2020. We have enjoyed supporting self-builders on site in 2019 and sharing the success on several successfully completed projects.
During 2019 we strengthened and developed relationships with suppliers to the self-build sector that we have worked with previously, linking up to assist our future Client’s to help deliver their own projects.
We are proud to have secured over 38 planning consents in 2019 with 33 different Local Authorities across 20 Counties.
Following the political uncertainty of 2019 it’s great to that we’ve already seen an increase in people looking to engage and move forward with their projects in 2020.
We are looking forward to continued success and working with self builders and homeowners looking to create something interesting and special!

Visited this timber frame self build in Gillingham today to provide support and advice to the Client who is also managing the project. Spent the day visiting the site of this new build project in Rock, Cornwall where work on site has just commenced following demolition of the existing bungalow. We are contractors administrators for the JCT intermediate contract and look forward to regularly visiting site to support the contractor and check on progress. Today the sun was out and the photo shows views that will be a enjoyed by the new dwelling once completed.

Great to pop in to see this timber frame self build nearly finished and looking very close to the design intent! Pointing on linear brick slips, garage door and timber cladding panels to complete. Looking forward to seeing the end result shortly!

Following on from securing planning permission for this replacement dwelling in Esher, we are now well underway with the working drawing package and currently coordinating the design with the SIPS supplier. Demolition of the existing house is imminent with ground works planned to start in July.
The client is managing the site and the build arranging several trade packages direct in order to reduce the overall build costs. We’ll be following the build as much as possible and be posting regular updates as the build progresses.

Good to get the scaffolding down on this remodel project and get a preview of how the completed version may look. Looking forward to completing the interior and the Client being able to enjoy some dramatic internal spaces with some stunning views over the the Hamble river. We provided design services and then project managed the shell and exterior finishes for the Client and they took on the interior themselves in order to deliver this build on a challenging budget.

Great to get grant of planning for this replacement replacement dwelling in Dorset. This 4000 sq ft house adopts simple architectural detailing creating a contemporary appearance under a pitched roof form. Contemporary fenestration is complimented with clean white render with natural stone cladding adding warmth and texture.
We have already been instructed to complete the working drawings and hoping to see works commence on site this year!

We are pleased to report grant of planning permission for our design for a house remodel in Dorset for our Client. Some minor negotiations were required during the application period, none of which diluted the design intent. We have already completed the working drawings and works have just started on site.
The design includes for a new roof with bedroom accommodation, a 2 storey side extension and a single storey rear extension creating a large open plan kitchen, dining and family area.
A mixture of natural stone, weatherboarding and natural slate transforms the existing plain appearance into a modern house with a warm and inviting character.
We are looking forward to monitoring progress and supporting the client through the construction phase.

We secured planning consent for this design in Tring, Buckinghamshire in 2016 and we’ve been delayed in posting to the blog. We have recently completed the working drawings and works commenced on site a few months ago. We are looking forward to visiting the project and seeing it progress!

Fantastic result to have secured planning permission for this replacement dwelling for our Client in Esher, Surrey. The new design replaces an existing 170m² 1970’s house with this contemporary 350m² luxury dwelling. We even managed to create an additional 75m² of bonus space in the roof pushing the gross internal area up to 425m².
We have already started producing working drawings and looking forward to supporting our Client through the build phase.

Great to be invited back to see another completed self build project. Although it wasn’t a great day for photos I think they still demonstrate the delivery of some nice clean detailing. We took on the project and steered to client through concept design, planning and the working drawing packages including key architectural detailing.
The Client’s partially self managed the build using a general builder to undertake most of the works with a number of sub-contractors employed directly for some of the specialist packages.
We supported the Clients throughout the construction phase on hand to answer site queries and help deliver the design intent.
