PLANNING GRANTED (CONSERVATION AREA) : SELF BUILD REMODEL IN BOURNEMOUTH, DORSET

I'm not often asked to turn my design skills to period properties where clients need to alter the internal spaces, increase natural light, whilst achieving a visually sympathetic solution. I've really enjoyed working on this with an adventurous client that really wanted to enhance an already stunning period property (from the front!). There were some challenges and resistance from the conservation officer (mostly confusing and unjustified) and after negotiations there were some concessions. However, most of the design intent we strived to achieve for the client was secured. I'm really looking forward to being involved and working closely with the contractor to deliver this challenging build. Work is due to start in the next few weeks and I will post further updates!
